Steve: On none of my several Nekton trips have I ever found an active SCUBA Board poster. I have found some lurkers, even some that came right up and said, "I saw your posts about going this week...." :confused:

Some people dive, some people just sit at the keyboard and write about diving, some others...

Don't fret, aboard the Nekton, you will meet a group of people that take their diving pretty seriously- hence all of the repeat customers!

hi,
we just got back and had a blast. It was just me and my hubby - but by the end of the week we had 20+ new friends! You will have a blast, the diving is awesome, the food is, well, let me say I gained 3-4 lbs.........

Have fun and don't sweat not knowing anyone before you get on the boat, you will make lots of friends from day 1.

and the sharks........... oh my, we saw so many sharks!

have fun!

I guess I should qualify my post, I'm going with my regular buddy so I'm not concerned about meeting other people on the boat to dive with. I was just looking to compare notes with anyone else on the trip.

I may see you at the airport. We'll be on the Aggressor IV
that weekend.
If we moore close to each other, I'll wave.

I doubt it, we're going to Cay Sal, you're going to Cayman...:D

Well, DUH.
I guess I need a geography lesson.
(I thought I'd been reading threads on the Nekton boats running out of GeorgeTown.
I obviously didn't read all of your message -- all one line ;-}
(need more sleep!)

You're right, there is a Nekton boat in the Caymans...the Rorqual. The Pilot is in the Bahamas right now, operating out of Ft. Lauderdale.

My wife and I did the Cay Sal trip on the Rorqual 4 yrs ago, and it was awesome! Some of the best diving we have done. We are signed back up on the Pilot this year for the July 8-15 NW Bahama trip. Nekton is a great outfit. Enjoy!
