I'm a Fish!
I went to Cove 2 today around 6pm. I found this beautiful blue-blackish fish about 1/2 foot long - looks like Surgeon in the Atlantic but what is it in the Pacific?

Thanks in advance

If you mean sturgeon, could it be this?:http://www.seaotter.com/Marine/research/agonus/acipenserinus/html/acipenserinus.jpg.html If you mean the tropical surgeon fish, the only thing I can think of that comes close around here is sea perch.

Krusty: unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera at that time.

Swankenstein: nope, that's not it.

More Descriptions: Looks like front half is black blended with back half of dark blue. Looks like Surgeon in the Atlantic with very nice body and colors (not Sturgeon).

Next time, I will bring my camera to capture that fish and post it up to show yall if I can.

Nope, it's not black rockfish. I just took one very experienced diver with vase knowledge in identifying the fish - thanks, Bob! It's Striped Perch!
