The single most important purpose of scuba diving for me is to marvel at the marine life - especially fish.
Could someone please recommend a good DVD on marine life? (I'd prefer DVD to VHS for endurability.)

I've did some search on Amazone and DVDs can be categorized in to two: those with narration and those without narration (purely for soothing and relaxing).
I'm looking for DVDs with narration, so that I can learn more about their biology as well.

Many thanks.

Discovery Channel has released their award winning "Blue Planet" miniseries to DVD. The videography is considered some of the best ever done.

Congratulations wonbok on your interest in learning more about the marine life of your dive sites. I'm constantly surprised at how little some frequent divers know... or about how much some SEEM to know!

I do most of my diving in the temperate kelp forests, and am not really familiar with a good definitive product for this area (SoCal). I'm working on a multi-part series on kelp forest ecology to be released on DVD and thru cable networks in the not-too-distant future.

I've dived many different tropical regions and found mostly the "mood" videos without natural history content that you mention.

You didn't say what area you dive in. That might be a big help in locating something appropriate for your needs.

Luc Besson's Atlantis

Beautiful photography, minimal dialogue but well worth seeing.
