I need a PADI instructor who is certified to instruct and certify people up to master diver or dive master. (PADI people know the difference).
Here is the question; can PADI instructor teach the OW, AOW and Master Class without being associated with the store? Of course, all of the insurance is in place, together with equipment renting and all of the dues paid to the PADI.
Let me know please,
Thanks

A PADI instr. can teach without the sponsorship of a store..
He/she can teach to divemaster level.
There is no master diver class.

There are lots of PADI instructors in the Pacific Northwest. More information as to where in the PNW would be helpful. Also, are you looking for someone to teach you (or a friend) or are you looking to hire someone to teach others? Again, more information would be appropriate so that you can get an appropriate response.

Master Scuba Diver isn't a separate class, though; it's a card you can get when you have completed a certain set of courses.

PADI has the Master Scuba Diver.

All it is a card you can apply for after you complete rescue and 5 specialities..there is not course/class to do for this rating.

To the OP: Any OWSI can instruct students up through Divemaster. In order to instruct students in the specialties required for the Master Scuba Diver rating, they must hold a minimum of Specialty instructor and be able to teach at least 5 specialties. In order to teach a specialty, the OWSI must have at least 10 dives in that specialty and take a course via a course director in that specialty. The other manner is to have certified at least 25 students, have a minimum of 20 dives in each specialty and apply to PADI for the specialty instructor rating in that area. Most people in this area are Master Scuba Diver Trainers.

PADI does not require the instructor to be affliated with the store. However, if the store wishes to utilize any of the eLearning classes, the store must be affiliated. An independent instructor does not have the availability of using on line courses.

Also, beginning next month, all instructors certified after Jan., must also have the EFR instructor rating.

There's no class or training involved. It's just a card you can buy after you have completed certain OTHER training and 50 dives.

It is a rating that you receive after you have acheived a certain level of training.
Prerequisites
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
PADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
12 years old
Minimum of five PADI Specialty Diver courses
Minimum of 50 logged dives
