Found this old diving watch in my dads drawer and I really know nothing about
Made by citizen and should be from around 1983 i would say.

I have pics but I cant post them because i need 5 posts

Old?
If it's automatic it's one of the best of the best.
Only turn the dial anti clockwise.
And if you decide to get the seals done you always have to check the crown is screwed in.

Here they are , the band was replaced about 4 years ago.
Sent it to citizen yesterday to get the batteries changed since my local citizen dealer wasn't sure how many batteries it had and didn't want to damage it.

I wish you luck on getting it serviced. I have that same watch and sent it in last month for a battery. Citizen informed me it was no longer serviceable.

Due to unavailability of parts, we are unable to repair your timepiece.

They are offering me 50% off of the suggested retail price. Which pretty much means street price, so no bargain there. I have a fairly new band on it so I will just take it back and keep that - it's worth more than the 50% off - which is really nothing.

Sad news
Its a shame too because it really is a nice watch

did they say it was due to the age?

The only thing they said was in the quote in the above post. Maybe mine needed more parts than just the battery and o-rings and you will be good to go. That would be nice as it does have that "look" for a classic dive watch. I also have a digital Citizen Promaster Aqualand. It's a nice watch, but I really prefer analog and the rotating bezel. It has a downloadable memory too, but who needs that with dive computers.

See what the result is when you get your watch back.
There are plenty out there that can service and pressure test despite what some manufacturers representative says.

It is dependent on choosing correctly the chalice.

Thank you Gentlemen

Maybe they can get this thing working
