I purchased the Single Tank Rig from Deep Sea Supply and have rigged my Hogarthian harness. Now I am running into trouble with the threading of the cam band webbing through the black plastic buckles on my cam bands.

I could use some advice -- and better yet, pictures -- of how to thread the webbing through the buckle which has three distinct slots? I see numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 with arrows accompanying each on the buckle, but I can’t figure out how to thread the webbing through them in sequence.

Can anybody help? Especially helpful would be posting some pictures or pointing me to a website that has some.

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem when setting up my DSS rig. I'm normally good at putting things together, but those numbers and arrows just served to infuriate me.

Here are pictures of how to do it, courtesy of our very own Kidspot.

I make my OW students do this a couple of times. It's something that takes a little practice to not have to think about it. Basically, put the band through the correct slot while following the arrows.

I learned to dive on a Scuba Pro Pilot jacket bc. It has a quick latch that does not function at all like a regular cam band on a bp/w. On the SP Pilot you just fold the velco strap back on itself and then hook a metal loop attached to the velco strap against the latch and close.

The pictures in the link above were very clear and easy to follow. It was my first time threading this kind of strap and the above link made it easy.
