I am flying out to LA tomorrow and forgot to find a charter boat to go diving on. I will be staying North of LA, so would prefer a boat that leaves from north of the city. Can anyone please help?

I moved to PA from San Diego 1 year ago, so getting to go diving is not very easy anymore. I really need to spend some time underwater this week!

Please help, tell me where/who I can go out with to do some off shore diving please. I'd even do a shore dive with someone if I can't go out on a boat. Just let me know so I bring my gear.

Ryan

Everyone seems to recommend the Peace. Never been, but plan to. Some more boats available here:
CalBoat Diving

Also, try taking the high speed ferry out to Catalina to dive Casino Point. It's an easy-entry shore dive with astounding life under the surface.

How far north are you staying? If you are in the San Fernando Valley, going to Ventura or Long Beach is pretty much 45 min either way in no traffic. I would recommend the Peace (Ventura), Magician (San Pedro to Catalina only), and Sun Diver Express (Long Beach to Catalina) just like everyone else has been saying. The Sun Diver you can't sleep on the night before though. Also you can check out the Great Escape (San Pedro). There's many many more, we have a pretty big fleet. The Raptor, Sea Bass, Sun Diver 2, Bottom Scratcher, etc etc. Some of them are smaller and faster and some of them are larger and you can sleep on them.

Wish I could join you guys at Catalina but I'll be on the Peace with the Roddenberry team and Dr. Bill!!

The Sun Diver you can't sleep on the night before though.

I believe you can sleep on the Sun Diver the night before the trip. I've done it before. You may want to check.

Ken/Ryan.... yes you can sleep on the SunDiver but not on the sister ship the SunDiver Express.
But they dock next to each other... so it wouldn't hurt to ask.
Oh Ryan, here is the link I use to contact local charters: California Dive Boats : The Official Page
Hope you have time to swim in our waters.

A few of us will be diving off the Spectre on Friday the 5th. A three dive day trip, but should be a small load (hopefully enough to go out). The Cal Boat link will let you know how to sign up.

Hope you find some good diving!
