We use Ben Mooney@ Scorpio divers. I got back last week from a great dive with him. If you do a search, you will see that most of us swear by him that dive in Cancun. He has a very loyal fan base here on scubaboard. They pick you up from your hotel in a nice full size van and drop you back at the hotel after your dive. The DM Jorge and the van driver(Carlos?) are great guys. You are treated fantastically through the whole dive. This is no cattle boat operation.

Make sure he takes you for the fish and shrimp tacos in Puerto Morales. They are the best I have ever had.

yeah dude.. it has been a while... Haven't been much on the board since I moved to Canada... I'll tell you one thing, I am missing my beloved caves like you wouldnt believe...

Dove with Ben @ Scorpio on three trips to Cancun. Always a great time. The last time in January was truly memorable...we did El Pit cenote. After a jump-in of 20 feet, we descended to a substantial depth to see human bones from when the cave system was dry. Then ascended through a beautiful, surreal sulfide layer. Also a couple of wrecks (Puerto Morales and Cancun). He'll arrange dives to suit your experience level and interests.

I also recommend Scorpio Divers. We did dive 3 days with them last week. One day in Cancun, one day in Puerto Morelos and last day in cenotes. Especially wreck dives in Cancun and Puerto Morelos were good. We saw about 15-20 eagle rays at C58-wreck and 9 stingrays (7 swimming together) at C56-wreck. Cenotes were great too (The Pit/Dos Ojos).

We dove first with Ben and next two days with Jorge and those guys were really nice. They took us (only 2 divers) out diving even if we were the only ones in the boat. I've been diving in many different places (Caribbean, Pacific, Australia and Asia) and Scorpio Divers is among the three best operators I have used.
