You can dive clear lake, detroit lake, etc. Check out Salem Scubas website. They have several frehwater dives listed. Also, there is an Oregon State Park with a sheltered dive area that connects to the ocean. Woahink Lake south of Florence.
I originally trained at UofO as well. Great program nestled in the PNW. Wylerbear, Scottri and others have already posted info I would recommend as well. We'll look for you out there diving!
