Hi all,

I am a pretty new diver with about 8 dives. I have some trips planned during the next 12 months (one to Cabo and one to Hawaii) and I will be buying some new equipment. I am uneasy renting equipment. I have done quite a bit of homework and I think I have a setup that will be quality, and cost-effective. What does everyone think of the setup below? Anything I should substitute? Keep in mind that I am trying to keep the price low.

I plan to get a computer around Christmas time, but not now.

BCD: Aeris Atmos XT
Regulator: Oceanic GT3
Octopus: Oceanic Slim Line
Gauges: Oceanic Swiv Navcon

Setup is just great but if you can pay for it try to go for the Delta4/FDX10
Just a major upgrade on the GT3,witch you ain't gonna regread.

i like the BC

I agree with 300bar. Upgrade to the Delta 4/FDX10 if you can. Got one and love it. Also on the Slimline octo if poss get the new one with magnetic holder. About 30 dollars more but love the ease of the clip. Just my 2 cents worth.
