Hi.

I am in the process of converting my diving rig to BP/W.

My current recreational rig has an AIR2 (which I don't hate, but I am going to be doing the bungie around the neck alternate air solution instead)...

My regs are a MK25/S600 which I REALLY like the breathing of... the only thing I don't like about it is with the knob all the way open it freeflows like a son of a gun if not in my mouth (really have to watch it when I am putting my BC on in the water).

SO...

Let's assume money is no object (within reason), and lets assume I want something that will breath well in an emergency situation (who wouldn't!) and lets also assume I want to go with Scubapro, Zeagle or Aeris (since those are what my LDS's service)... preferably Scubapro... but I don't want an octo, I rather want an actual backup second stage...

If you were me, what would you do?

What's wrong with another S600? I use a G500 as an alternate on my rig with a D-series primary. With the user adjustable alternate, you can control freeflow many problems.

BTW, you could have your S600 detuned to reduce freeflow problems but sounds like yours is just right. Use the user adjustment and the VIVA control to eliminate the occasional freeflow problem.

I have a G250 primary and R390 back. THe G250 is pretty big to have another one bungied under my neck. Breathes fine at depth, no problems with free flow when adjusted correctly.

My doubles regs are both MK25/S600s. I love them.
