I recently picked up an older AquaLung BP, but I have no clue as to what kind of wing will attach to it. I see many of the wings on the market have mounting holes in the center. I can see no place on my BP that will accomodate any mounting hardware. Also, when I tighten the screws that attach the tank strap to the BP, the screws pertrude past the BP and press into my back. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

These "old style" BackPACKs were typically used with a "horsecollar" BC or no BC at all.

I think that SeaTec makes a wing style that can be used with what you bought.

Do not think my comment re: "old style" is meant in a perjorative (is that the correct word?) way. Sometimes old is not bad, just different.

If you bought the bp to dive vintage gear, a horsecollar bc is the way to go.
If you just wanted it, AP Valves in England still makes them. With wings.
They also manufacture horsecollar bcs.

Why bo these bc's all cost so much. They don't look that intricate.
Demand=cost. No body dives horsecollar BCs (well, a few do but you know what I mean), so therefore it costs more to buy one. If everyone dove one, prices would be a lot less, because they would be selling more.
