Today started out a little rough at 2-3' but we got out 22 miles to find 59degree water.Vis was 50' easy with a slime layer from 30' to 50'.once you got under 50' the bottom opened up at 110'.Amonst the fish of note seen today .Spotted moray,Lionfish,Flying gunard,Ocean sunfish@200#,scorpionfish,schools of amberjacks from 30# to 50#,at least 8 sea turtles on the bottom on the last dive,a 7lb lobster ,a 15lb Gag and a 17lb Red snapper.Last weeks short trip saw 2 northern right whales about 40' playing around my anchored boat.Love Florida.

I'd love to see whales. I went out w/Abernathy a few weeks ago and there were reports of whales moving through, but we didn't see any.

Bummer!

Lucky you!

Peter,it's a rare event for me.If I see them I avoid getting close. We were anchored up and they approached us and played in the area for almost an hour. They had to be checking us out as much as us them. One rolled over 30' away looking at us and did that thing where they stick their tail in the air.Cool.
