There is also a contest going on between Va. & N.C. on who will be the 1st to get the required # to produce a plate. A tour company donated a Carribbean Vacation & everyone who registered for a plate in the winning state will be entered.

Yeah the contest is between my old LDS www.gypsydivers.com and some dive shop in VA. You NC folks go and register thru Gypsy! I did.
Anyone have a tally on the current count in both states?

As of November 19th, two weeks ago, N.C. had 165 sold. Hopefully that number has gone up. Anyone knowing other divers, please spread the word. No one will get their plates until we get up to 350 sold as that's the minimum order I think.

i would love one if you got to have more than 4 letters or numbers. that's lame. can't spell 'stroke', and 'strk' could be for stork - who knows? 'baby' would send a way wrong message, 'duck' is stoopid, 'marc' would make people think i was a guy, initials are too preppy, i'm not 'dir', nobody would get 'hog', whine whine whine.

Yeah I already pay NC for a commercial vanity plate and if I could get the same one I would do it but I have 8 letters.
