Hung up and alone on a wreck. Yeah, that'd upset me. Wow.

Anyway - Howdy!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue: Look around our various forums - everything from New-To-Scuba to Instructors-Only to Dive Medicine.

Make friends on the North Carolina forum. Good place to get local info and find better buddies.

Ron,

Welcome to the Board! I had an experience with a negligent dive buddy who almost cost me my life too. My advice, make sure you know and TRUST the people you dive with. I almost always consider myself a solo diver (unless diving with my husband, my Instructor, or one of the Florida Conch Divers) and plan my dives that way. Like my husband said before (murphdivers286) if your ever in Florida, let us know , we'll dive with you and never leave you hanging
:)

I just talked my wife and 2 teens into taking class and getting certified. No one cares like family!!! I might see you in FL one day. How did you make it in the storm. We had Isabell last year so I know some of what your going through.
If you get to Carolina maybe we could hit some wrecks.

BIGBLUE:
Greetings from NC. This is my first post but have been member of the web site for about a month. I have enjoy the informative posts on this site and finally decided to make a post. I have not been diving for a while, (since my so called buddy left me tangled in a wreck in Fl. a fews years ago) I have got my nerve to try it again. I am NAUI and would like to get a refresher course. Does anyone know of anyone teaching courses in the Elizabeth City area or the Outer Banks. I am eager to get back in the water and try the beach wrecks. I need a buddy. Anyone interested? Thanks to everyone who contributes to this great site. I am looking forward to meeting some of you in the future.

Ron

Hello from Matt, :thumb:

Welcome to SB! :1poke: I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.
There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care from Matt. :snorkels:

I'll agree with Baitedstorm completely, re: the invitation to dive and the difficulty of finding good buddies.

I'm getting ready to move back to NC from South Florida, and would love to get together for some diving - I'll need to feed my addiction when I'm there! Send me a PM some time over the next week or so and include your phone number, and we can talk a bit. I love beach and wreck diving and have done a bit of each. I'll be glad to help you get wet again.

Welcome to the board,
Grier
