Should have just stayed home. Vis was about 10 inches. The rubble was less. Couldnt even read my computer. The end of the pier wasnt much better. Surf wasnt bad but was yesterday from what I understand. I dont know if the low vis was due to the surf building over the last few days, tide or an algae bloom. Water had a green tint to it so maybe it was algae related.

If anyone is going tomorrow, be warned, it may not be much better, maybe worse.

On a positive note, there was a skimboarding tournment just east of the pier, so the scenery on the beach wasn't too shabby :)

Jason, I was there at 8:00Am and immediately went to the beach and saw the viz was going to be crap, so I sat and watched the "Eye Candy" for awhile and watched for you. I finally left at about 8:20 as it was a bit chilly out too. Sorry i missed you but it sounds like I'm not sorry I missed the dive.:)

Good call huh, Hetland?

I went to Navarre Pier today at 12:00 and hit the water at 12:32. It was perfectly calm, no waves and no current. The viz was maybe 5-10 feet at best and the temp has really dropped......71* now! I have some real bad news to report..... The sand is starting to cover the rubble. It has moved up almost 6 inches in the past few days. All the tires are now covered and most of the caves are filled. I went to all my Octopus holes and did not see a single one......Yikes! Also there is now a fine layer of silt in the "bowl", hardly any sand is visible around the rubble. Not good news I know but news worth mentioning.

Yep, you called it. I knew better than to argue LOL. I guess we'll have to find another spot for our octopus encounters... Navarre will be hard to beat the way it was laid out so nice and horozontal though :crying2:

My thoughts exactly!! I wanted to see the octopus and turtle :(

I had a lot of water in my mask......It wasn't from a leak, it was from me crying.:depressed:
