they are "one-step" dive tables. they have longer times because they incorporate
the RGBM model, which "understands" decompression needs in a different manner.

so, yes to your second question.

i don't know the answer to the first question, but my understanding is that no
extra procedures (i.e. slower than normal ascents) are required.
 
Here are some of the restrictions:

* A minimum SIT of 1:00 hr is required between dives.
* If actual dive depth is not listed, use MDT for next greater depth listed.
* No reverse profiles allowed (each dive must be shallower).
* Maximum descent rate (75 fpm) and ascent rate (30 fpm).
* Safety stop at 15 ft for 3 min. is required.
* Maximum of 3 dives within 12 hr period.
* If MDT is exceeded, there is mandatory decompression stops and further diving is not allowed for 24 hr.
