Hi,
I am looking for some advice
My scuba instructor is certified by both NAUI and PADI organizations.
I was leaning towards a NAUI certification simply as the finale to my uncompleted NAUI course I took as a teenager.
I am going to Oahu in May and was planning to complete my OW dives by referral.
The problem I am having is the number of NAUI instructors in Oahu seems rather limited.
It looks like it may be easier for me to certify with a PADI referral simply because of having more instructors to choose from in Oahu.
Can anyone recommend a NAUI instructor in Oahu?
Also, is there any benefit to being dual certified with both NAUI and PADI?
Thanks

You could always complete your NAUI certification through the Universal Referral Program. Many dive centers participate in this program even if they don't primarily teach NAUI.

There is not much advantage in being dual certified. I guess you'd have two cards so perhaps the odds of you losing both would be less. PADI does have an online system where PADI dive shops can verify your certification. Not sure if NAUI has something similar.

What Drew said, you just have to have the right paperwork and two days to complete the dives.

drew is absolutly right, i am a instructor in Oahu right now,, and i could hook you up with everything you need.
