NAUI DM Materials

Hi, can anyone tell me definitively what is required for the NAUI DM materials? I checked with my course director and he encouraged me to get the Instructor Library which includes materials for DM (and yes I already have the library since I am training to be a NAUI instructor.

However, I am really interested to know what are the materials needed if a student/candidate wants to be a DM. The cost of the Leadership Library may also include the DM package but it also has a wole bunch of other stuff (e.g. scuba diver/advanced scuba diver students materials etc) and the cost of the library is also a deterrent to most people.

I have consulted the NAUI S&P and it says to consult with NAUI Training Department. I contacted them and they say to check with your instructor. I asked my instructor/CD and he says you already have it but when asked what is really needed ad he doesnt seem to know and say to check with the S&P.

Can somebody shed some light please?

Individual instructors will vary on what they require for their candidates for DM, but if you were to teach a class to the minimum standards you would need:
The Leadership textbook/workbook, and an S&P Manual. A SD Instructor Guide would be very helpful to prepare for the teaching segments but all NAUI instructors do not use this exact guide so it is not required for DM. If you could find a suitable replacement for the leadership text book you could also use that - NAUI does not dictate what texts and books you must use for training. The S&P would therefore be the only required text from NAUI that is needed.

It would also depend if the candidate was already a NAUI Assistant Instructor moving up to Divemaster, or taking the "combined" course.
