We need your help and we need your vote!
Do you know what your Board of Directors is doing and are you satisfied with the results? If you didnt answer yes to both of these questions, keep reading!
We are writing to ask that you vote for just two candidates: Dallas Edmiston, NAUI 4099 and Jeff Heim, NAUI 10880. We believe that the NAUI Board of Directors has become too disconnected from the membership it represents. Given the opportunity we will address these concerns.
As NAUI Board Members we will strive, on your behalf to:
Increase membership
Revitalize NAUIs presence in areas where we have lost ground
Promote local member chapters and networks
Provide regular reports from the BoD to the membership
Preserve NAUI training standards
You should also know that two of the candidates are the fathers of two current board members. If successful, these four individuals will concentrate nearly 50% of the decision-making capacity of the board in two families. Do you believe that is a wise choice for NAUI?
We are committed to providing an independent voice on the board.
Dallas Edmiston is completing his first term on the NAUI Board and is seeking re-election. He is a NAUI Course Director and past recipient of the NAUI Outstanding Service Award and dive shop owner in Buffalo, NY.
Jeff Heim is running for his first term on the board. He is well known as the Director of Technical Diving for the Beneath the Sea Symposium. He is a NAUI Course Director, NAUI Technical Instructor and a recipient of the NAUI Outstanding Service Award in 2007.
