Well, we went to go see National Treasure last Friday and I can say it was a great movie. Action, suspense, funny, interesting, touch of romance (very small touch)....I would give it a 10
Anybody else see it? how did you like it?

Not released here yet, we always have to wait that bit longer...I llike Nic Cage though so i'm lookin forward to it! :11ztongue

Hi,

Since I'm not really a fan of Nicolas Cage, I thought the movie was OK, not great.

The movie theme followed, albeit loosely, a book called The Da Vinci Code, but instead of trying to find the Holy Grail, they were searching for treasure by following clues left behind by the Knights Templar, as was done in The Da Vinci Code, as those searchers were trying to find the Grail..

I think the makers of National Treasure were trying to cash in on the success of The Da Vinci Code. Same idea, different treasure.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, but it wasn’t a great movie for me.

Sorry you didn't like it. I am not really a fan of NC either. I just thought the movie was well done. It kept me interested (which means I didn't fall asleep :D) and also got me trying to figure it out.

Watching the clips on the website makes me believe that this is a real treasure too....not really to be found this way, but it is supposed to exist

Was there some diving in it, or was I just seeing things when I watched the trailer?

I will definately go see it. Saw "After the Sunset", it was pretty good. Had some diving too (Hollywood style). Salma Hayek..........gggrrrrrrrr.

not really diving. Without giving much away the hero jumps into the water and to get away somebody is waiting underwater with a scooter and a reg.....

His subsurface support team??? ;)

I saw it too, and enjoyed. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen (not even the best I saw this weekend - that was the Incredibles, which was an awesome movie!), but it was entertaining and worth paying the money to see. It was a cute, clean, happy movie and while it wasn't very believable, it was entertaining.
In the beginning of the movie, they mentioned that the main character used to be a SEAL, so I wondered if that was foreshadowing for a dive scene. I wasn't disappointed when the part lisa mentioned happened.

The guy on the scooter is on a rebreather. Appears to be a prism, but I may very well be mistaken.
