Top 10 nastiest looking fish

I am not sure if this is the best place to post, but being that some of them were sharks, I figured it would be ok.

Some of them are just ugly. I wouldn't exactly be pleased to run into one of them while diving. However, it would make for a good story.

Lots of fun! Thanks for posting. I would also include Hagfish and Stargazers!

eewwwwww.... they do look horrific. i sure don't want to come near that goliath tigerfish... it's teeth look like they can put holes on my legs. seriously.

I would add monkfish. Thanks for sharing.
Terri

I think Monkfish is included in the top ten. It's the one with the skin missing.

I have eaten Monkfish. As of late I won't touch it due to its status as a pressured fish species. Additionally, seeing these guys underwater is very, very cool.

Cheers,

Wolf fish are not that scary. Actually, I would seek them out. I hear they act nasty when you hook them, though.

Interesting stuff! Especially the Frilled Shark. Thanks!

I thought they all looked kind of cute since I'm not in the water with them. Of course I'm partial to any other critters with fangs.

Maggie, don't you already have small puncture wounds in young legs from a certain underwater critter usually found in Australia?
