First off this is my second time writing this (first time failed to upload post and lost the whole thing)
I just recently returned from 17 days in Fiji. While ther my wife and I spent the first ten days at Naigani Island Resort. I had read several reviews on Trip Advisor and some here to on Scubaboard. While reading all the reviews it made me very skeptical about even going there. However since it was the only resort available partnered with RCI at the time I booked it and decided to take a chance.
Well, we couldnt have been more happy with the resort and staff. They were incredible and the location, care, and diving was AMAZING!!! Sure the resort isnt a 5 star but it was full of charm and the staff could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. They were genuine and eally cared for and about us. They made the stay there wondefull. It was a very relaxed atmosphere where there were plenty of things to do to keep us entertained or we could also be left alone to relax in the hammocks, chairs, Burres, or just lay down on a towel on the empty beach's.
The scuba diving was the best I have ever done. I heard problems with boats not working, tanks not being available, dive masters not being there, as well as other issues regarding diving. Well i didnt have any problems while there. I had a great Divemaster named Les who was there the entire stay. We dove almost every day on several different boats to a different dive site every tank. All the boats were really good without problems. Les was very knowledgeable and was pointing out alot of sea life to me and explained what everything was. We had a great time together.
There was over 20 different dive locations within a 10-15 min boat ride from the resort. This was great since we never had a long boat ride to a dive location. I did one dive that was far away from the resort. This dive was at Wakaya about a 1.5hr boat ride away. However this dive was great and I was able to see a Hammerhead and sea turtles. It was totally worth the boat ride.
My previous post was a lot longer however that one was lost due to a failure of the computer and I dont have the time to type it again. I just want to make my point that Naigani Island resort is a diving paradise that blew away our expectations. We are already planning another vacation there next year. They are incredible poeple and we had the times of our lives there.
If anyone has any questions please PM me and I will asnswer everything I can. Oh, the prices were awesome there. I did 8 boat dives and 2 shore dives for $600.00 FJD. I then went to Beqa Adventure Divers for a 2 tank dive that cost me $310.00 for just the 2 tanks!!!
Naigani has so much to offer... PLease dont hessitate to ask me any questions. I fully endorse them...

I now represent Naigani Resort in the USA. I am based in the Los Angeles area. I feel every bit as strongly about Naigani as mike0479. However, I will be the first to admit that in the past few years Naigani has had some problems with the service that they provided in certain areas and the dive operation was more of an afterthought than anything. This is being changed. The owners have made a large commitment in time, money, and other resources to the dive program. They/we have every intention of continuing to polish the dive program at Naigani until it is among the very best in Fiji. Huge improvements have been made in the past several months and more are in the works. There may yet be some hiccups along the way, but we are trying to limit/eliminate those and will address any speed bumps encountered along the way quickly and efficiently.

Steps are also being taken to assure that the non-diving problems that have occasionally cropped up in the past are addressed. Some upgrades to the accommodations are being made and others are planned. No, Naigani will never be a five star resort that movie stars are visit regularly. But, it is very comfortable, with spacious bures, plenty of good food, great fishing, and fantastic diving. It is, in my opinion, one of the very best values in the south pacific for divers.

I couldnt agree more. The place is simply amazing and my wife and I are aleady planning another trip back there next year with another family we met there two weeks ago. We absolutly fell in love with the resort. It is so relaxing and the people are so accomidating. The diving while I was there was the best i have ever done.
