NAD Lembeh 2:1 guide ratio for the summer

Hi,

NAD is offering 2:1 guest to guide ratio for double occupancy bookings in June / July in case anyone is interested. North Sulawesi is a great destination. You should give it a try if you haven't already!

Divers Lodge Lembeh offers a ratio of 2 guests/1 guide already for twelve years. Still, many of our guests prefer a private boat and a private guide. In general, the quality of the service for diving at Lembeh Strait is extraordinary if you compare it with other dive destinations. I think it was Christiane, the former owner of Froggies at Bunaken, who broke with the “old tradition” of group of six or more divers with one guide. The late Larry Smith was the first who trained his guides in spotting and identifying. Nowadays most of the guides at Lembeh are as least as good, or better, than the “legends” trained by Larry in the old days. As a rule, none of the resorts offer a ratio of more than four guests per guide.

To be honest twofish have always offered me 2:1 ratio on the last 2 trips (may and dec) for nothing. Not a private boat mind you but pretty much a private guide!

Anyway, for June / July we are guaranteeing it for all our guests with mature, experienced guides if anyone is interested.

Yep, many of us offer it if we have spare guys around the resort. We are actually doing it at the moment thru July, but we are guaranteeing it in June / July

Sounds like a good deal though, always better to have private guides, better for photographers.
