Hey guys, new guy here.

I did the appropriate searches and wasn't able to get this figured.

I am using an Olympus SW 1030 with a Nikinos SB strobe. I can't get them to sync (using the slave function).

Any clue on how I can get these in line? Camera settings, etc...?

Driving me nuts!!!

Thanks!

It will not sync, your Olympus 1030 fires a preflash for each shot, your Nikonos slave strobe is not designed to deal with preflash cameras. Modern optical strobes have a preflash/no preflash selection switch and many have software built in to recognize the various preflash systems used by different cameras, that meaning, some fire pulses, some fire a single preflash etc.

Your old time slave strobe is firing on the preflash, not on the main strobe pulse.
