Since Beast won't be diving, and we'll have about 6 hours to kill before dinner, we thought we'd check out some of the dive shops while we're there. Could some of ya'll give me some names, phone numbers, and info about some of the shops up that way? The only one that I can even think of is Grapevine dive shop?

Who/where's your favorite local dive shop?

Scubatoys a.k.a. "2 Dive 4"

If I remember correctly, it is the first exit (Royal Lane exit) south of the intersection of the southbound side of I-35 and 635(LBJ freeway) in a purplish colored strip mall on the southbound side of I-35. You could probably type it into Mapquest to get a map or there is a map on their website. Larry, the owner (and bearded ex-hippie lookin' dude) is a good guy.

I didn't realize that place was in Dallas! That'll be fun...thanks

Aqua Adventures in Dallas is ok

Suface Interval in Grand Prarie just opened an new showroom. Haven't been to the new plae yet, but I do have some equipment there. Wanna pick up a reg and BC for me? hee heee!!!

I dont' think AKA Divers in Arlington is open right now.

That's all I can think of right now. I just finished a night shift and my brain is mush.

There is Tuckers in Grand Prairie. They are on the net.

Thats the only close one that I can think of.

Over close to me there is Oceans Window in Plano (nothing special) and Emerald Sea in Richardson.

I don't know how much driving yall want to do.

Since we'll be in unknown territory I'd rather not venture hither and yon! We'll pick one and check it out unless someone wants to meet us and lead us around!

Maybe we'll just sleep in, leave later and not have so much time to kill.

Surface Interval Scuba is close to where you will be staying -- right down the highway, actually. I'd be happy to take you over there and show it to you, or anywhere else you'd like to go. Just let me know...

We should be there around 10-11am. If you'll give me your cell number or a contact number, I'll call you when we get to Motel 6 on Randol Mill Rd. We can make plans from there.

How does that sound?

I can pick up your reg and BC for you, if you want me to. I'll bring it to the Ballpark with me, unless you would rather pick it up yourself.

As for AKA Divers, it is completely out of business...
