yesterday afternoon was bright, warm and sunny, ankle to knee high surf. Vis was a hazy 20-25ft.

Nice dive, saw my first angel shark and on way back crossing same sandy area saw my first thornback ray.

I was there 7-17. Same viz issues until we got below about 50 feet. We may have seen the same ray... we were on our way back in along the edge of the channel and saw a ray or a skate (not sure what the difference is really yet) around 30 feet. Looked like it was about 18" wide and maybe 4 or 5 feet long. Very pale white/gray blended in nicely with the sandy bottom.
