I'm in NYC area every summer and have shore dived most spots in CT and RI. Now I'd like to do the same with NJ and Long Island. Anyone know some good spots? I would assume the North Shore of L.I. would be best, other than maybe one of the S. Shore inlets--like Moriches or Shinnecock? What about the Peconic Bay areas? As for NJ, I'd be interested in shore diving anywhere-down to Wildwood as well--assume you're looking at bays, like Barnegat, etc. I won't solo dive below 30', but I'd like to get below 10 feet at least, which was hard to do in CT. I know the charter boats in both NJ and LI tend to fill up real quick and go real early A.M.--if anyone knows exceptions to this case I'd like to know. Thanks and appreciate in advance any info.
