Hm, I wonder about the altitude part. I've dived at altitude, around 7600', then drove through a pass that was about a 1000' higher than the lake and we had no problems.

But then again, those whom I know that have taken hits were within the limits of their computer or tables.

(Note the formatting is a little messed up, 10,000 feet should be above the rightmost column)

This table must be used with NOAA's no deco table to determine your pressure group found here:

I use these tables as I often must cross a 4700 ft mountain pass on my way back home after diving.
