Well, I just spent the weekend trying out my new Titan Glacia reg.....I dove down to about 70ft, in about 42F water in Northern Ontario. I must say that I am VERY HAPPY WITH MY DECISION TO BUY THIS REG! I couldnt believe how smooth the reg breaths, at the surface, at the bottom, and during weird positions underwater....The Glacia also has this great lip warmer built into it around the mouthpiece....very cool, and it actually works! My 2nd stahe gives a little honk sometimes when its dry....anyone know what that might be, and should I worry?

Anyways, just thought Id let all you comparitive shoppers know that for the $$, this reg is hard to beat. Especially if your going to be diving in COLD water. Coming off a blizzard, this reg felt quite a bit easier to pull off of at depth.

Anyone else dive with a Titan Glacia? If so, how do you like it?

I have a Titan XLC and LX octo and like both of them greatly. They both breathe great for me, so far, in anyhting that I have done - which is limited, still being a newly certified OW diver - but, for the money, mine breathe great and I have no problems with Aqua Lung regs...

I might add the cold water kit to my Titan's first stage - but I won't be diving in water temps much colder than about 50-60 degrees or so - so I'm not too concerned.

The new Legends look great too. My LX second stage is small, breathes well and has a nice Apeks style + and - adjustment lever, which I like. I'd go to a LX for my primary soon as well. Its a tad smaller than the XLC and Glacia as well.

But, I also like the Apeks ATX100 thats out. I like the config of the 1st stage...but for what I paid for my Titan - I couldn't beat it.

Glad you like yours...

Yep!
I have the Glacia too. It is a bit noisy (kazoo style) when on the surface, but great under the water.
Stays fully smooth in 5 deg. Celsius (41F) cold water at any depth.

I work in one of the largest dive shops in the us and it is not a mail order shop.
congradulations on your glacia, it is a great unit
The honk is normal for all regs on the surface

Hello,

I already posted this question elswere but since you talk about it, I thought it would be a good idea to ask you directly ; what is the " cold water kit " that could be added to Titan's first stage ?

thank you !
