I agree. You need to be examined by a physician, preferably an ENT, before you get back into the water. If you've perforated an eardrum, you can get a nasty middle ear infection.
Probably need to review those equalization skills with a dive instructor, also. You can cause very serious damage to the eardrum and, more significantly, to the inner ear, if you get too enthusiastic with your valsalva.
The easiest thing for me, as far as equalizing the ears goes, is to practice opening and closing my eustacian tube by swallowing and listening for that little crackle at the end of the swallowing motion. Practice that on land often, and then do if frequently as you slooooowly descend, and you'll find things much more comfortable.
