I use this once a month, I never have any problems anymore and I don't have to pay the doctor to clean my ears anymore.

I liked this part...
Will it remove a bug that crawled in my ear?
No. Hold a flashlight towards your ear and the bug will crawl towards the light.
underachiever...
What is the best way to get the wax out of the ear? Once it has got soft. Feels like it if full of water but I think it is just wax that has softened and I have pushed it around trying to get it out.
I'm not convinced he has wax build-up tho" "feel like it's full of water."

It'd be safer to see an MD. ENT preferred, but I've done this with a GP.

Go to the doctor.
I had this happen this past summer and had to have my ear flushed.

I've never had anything hurt soooo gooooooooood !!!!

If I were a dog, I'd a been scratching my belly with my hind foot!

There is absolutely no way that anyone on a message board can fully assess your ear and give you good advice about what to do. Go see your ENT, NP, MD or whoever you choose for medical treatment. Digging around in there and trying various flushes without knowing what the problem really is can cause damage. Good luck!!

After that, use half vinegar, half alcohol in your ears after ever dive, shower, bath to prevent an infection - which is what I really suspect, based on my experiences..

Got it cleared. Used some peroxide and then flushed. Took a few times but finally got it. Thanks for all the tips. Think I will fix a mixture of the alcohol and vinagar to have after each dive.

Thanks,

If it becomes a regular occurence after diving, I would recommend seeing an ENT just to make sure everything is ok.

Did you get something looking like a dirty pencil eraser out? :11:

Having learned how to irrigate an ear properly from my doc's nurse, I do mine now and then - always before a dive trip. Like to go with clean ears. Always follow with the 50/50 mix. Hydrogen Peroxide get mixed reviews from Docs, so I don't use it.
