I have a regular Titan and it's worked fine for me so far on the little bit of basic rec type diving I've done. . . But I think I'm going to get a Titan LX while the free octo deal is going on. I'm being a nice girlfriend and letting my boyfriend have the Titan/ABS set I have since he doesn't have any of his own gear yet. I believe that $298 is right around the list price for a Titan, so not necessarily the best deal around. But either the Titan or the Titan LX are suppose to be good regs for basic users on a budget.

As you've learned AL has this deal on all their regs, and it is an excellent deal. But if you are going to take advantage of it, make sure you visit the AL web site and make sure that your shop is fully honoring the deal.
