Sandy is completely independant. Occasionally she will need help donning her gear because of a snagged hose or something, but so do I and so do most of us. She had no problems lugging her tanks around, we actually had a nice little thing going when it came time to load/unload the tanks into the car...I worked the dolly back and forth getting the tanks and she loaded them into the car.
As far as in the water goes, completely independant. While she was getting certified she asked me what I was looking for in a dive buddy and I told her my top 3 things...and she has exceeded them all. She told me during the middle of our trip that she purposely worked on those 3 things because she didnt want to burden me at all......I didnt know what to say. I think I burdened her more during our trip with my video housing/camera/lights etc....sometimes I wish I didnt take video underwater, but when I dive without it, I feel naked because my hands are free.
We don't know each other very long, but we have an amazing level of trust, right RAVENC...

hehehe.....not only have we traveled together out of the country, but we have dived together about 60 times so far.....there is a level of trust you bestow on your buddy, as you all know....
To answer someone elses question, she has not dove with anyone else yet. I told her to it would be a good idea to dive with others as it adds to your experience, but the chance hasnt come up.
We are already talking about diving Belize in February..does the insanity ever end?
