too much work he said, what a lammo excuse. So, is anybody diving in the morning? i am all dialed in with nowhere to go! I have to get out and do something before i go sit and veg for that game!

Nothing can be so frustrating as a dive buddy who flakes out at the last minute. I have had my share. In Santa Barbara, I had one guy plead to go diving to check out my secret lobster places on a Sunday morning. I went over to pick him up and no one was around. So I bagged the dive, dropped my dive gear at home, and headed to the health club to work out. As I am leaving the club, he walks in with two of his friends. When I ask him what happened he said that he heard me knocking but didn't want to get up and go. What a jerk.

I will dive with almost anyone once. If I don't like what I see I won't dive with them a second time.

Scottfiji said Marineland was OK today, so expect several of the usual gang to be there at 8:00 tomorow. Merry and I might even make two dives if it's good enough.

Hey, be happy you're not going to Italian Gardens. See my response re: the GSB there.

I, too, hate it when that happens... one of the reasons I dive mostly solo. The only person who can call the dive is me!

Chica and I got to OML early (7:20 AM) this morning and got stoned at the gate by some guy who said, "its not open until 8:30..."

We puttered around and came back at 8:10 and the gate was open. The point was out of the question, cobble beach looked OK, but we passed and went to Vets.

Glad we did. Flat, clear, clean, very beautiful. A couple of Gray Whales very close to shore, porpoise, a huge bat ray sleeping just off the eggs, an air rifle (!), and acres of eggs.

Walk in, walk out - mellow dive. Vets was beautiful today.
