Everyone I know (and they have minimum of 1000 dives) puts wetsuit over boots. No idea why you would even consider the other way.

Haha, I always wear my leather or winter boots and booties over my skinny jeans or leggings! :p

I can deal with the Bare Evoke being a bit long in the legs and arms because it fits everywhere else. Plus it's warm.

I agree it’s a comfy suit and the long legs and arms can be dealt with. What I couldn’t get over was that it gave me camel toe...I couldn’t get over that!

It's serious. Excessive wetsuit bootie piss volume issues almost ended my diving career and also detracted from the experience of other vacation divers when I emptied them onto the boat deck.
you know that nothing compares in sensitivity to the human taste buds. I would recommend that the most accurate measure of urine flow in the wet suit boot would be the traditional taste test...

To accurately measure the urine content of your dive boots, measurements done in triplicate would need to be done for each boot after each dive and then rated on a scale of 1 to 10.

More importantly at the end of the dive you don't have booties full of piss.

Peeing in your suit was a thermal protection strategy when I learned to dive. I started doing my best to avoid it decades ago when I discovered it was giving me crotch rot. I didn't make the connection until it cleared up about 2 weeks later. I went diving again and the rash showed up the next day. I gave the suit a good scrubbing with soap and stopped peeing in the suit. The rash never came back.

Sometimes nature and dive duration doesn't allow the option so I carefully wash the suit with soap post-dive. I also started buying suits without a fabric internal lining because they are warmer and more comfortable, but I imagine it also helps the hygiene problem.

My wetsuits get washed after every diving day in the bathtub with lukewarm water and baby shampoo. No issues.

OK, that's a new one for me! A wetsuit giving a gal camel toe.:rofl3:

I know, so weird. I think it has something to do with the stretchy material and the length of the torso...my husband was the one who spotted it and told me to immediately take it off!

.... and make sure the whole experiment is videotaped and to post the link afterwards.

I have size 7 women's feet. With 3mm tropical short booties, the size small Quattros are too big. So I bought 6.5mm zip up boots with thicker soles and just overall thicker. This worked on land. Once I got in the water, this combination was wobbly, indicating it was a tad too loose. @uncfnp has suggested an even thicker soled boot than the one I have and it works for her, and I believe she is the same size feet as me. The Quattros doesn't come in an extra small. It's just a sizing issue really.

My Henderson Thermaxx legs stretched over my 6.5mm booties over 9 dives and they did not bounce back. I can no longer wear this wetsuit without these or another pair of thick boots.

I didn't expect them not to bounce back. I am bummed about it.

Yeah, I understand all that. But your foot size is pretty much the same as my wife's. She wears an XS 5mm zippered boot with a small Avanti Quattro fin and has no problems with fit. As someone suggested, it could just be the brand of dive boot you have.

As for your wet suit legs, I agree with others that there is probably a quality issue with that particular suit. That stuff happens. I saw where you said you are going to talk to your LDS, which I think is the best thing to do at this point. those legs should not stretch out of shape like that. I've been wearing my Thermaxx over the boots for well over 100 dives and they still fit quite snug.

Good luck with all that. Hope you get it resolved.
