Help! Here is my dilemna - I am on Catalina Island for the weekend. I have brought my trusty MX-10 and planned to try out my new macro lens. I read part of Joe Liburdi's book earlier last week, and there was a recommendation for F-stop settings with 100 ASA film - I just can't remember what it was. I checked the archives here, but I didn't see anything exactly on point. Is it F-16 or F-22 to enhance depth of field? If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Also, I take it that one does not use the viewfinder with the macro lens. Does one just look over the top of the camera body?

G,day Kelpmermaid,

The correct fstop for the Macro lens is f22 but if your subject is reflective or very bright (white/silver) then f16 maybe appropriate.
but 98% of the time f22 will be fine.
And yes you just look over the top of your camera and use your framer to centre your subject.
The MX-10 take fantastic macro photos.

I'll see what I have when I get home. At least it has been a learning experience!
