Hey guys, think about a scuba diving/extreme sports (action packed and informative) high definition video magazine. Now with that, lets hear what kind of music you would want to hear in that, for example, just state what you would like to hear, rock, beats, punk, caribbean style mellow music. We are doing a poll type thing and we want a huge variety of opinions, and heard this is the place to get it, looking forward to hearing what type of music you want to see go with diving. Thanks guys:D

Please clarify; Do you mean what kind of music we would want to hear while watching a diving video magazine? or what kind of music we would want to hear while diving? If watching a diving video magazine, it would depend on the content of the program: a sequence, let's say on the Belize Blue Hole would probably be very mellow (new age) or perhaps eerie, depending what kind of "feeling" you want to create. If the scene was a shark feeding frenzy, then obviously a driving beat would be in order. If you mean type of music while actually diving, I would personally want very mellow, flowing, type of music. My $.02

well, i like a wide variety of music, but for a diving video i would vote for calm, soothing type stuff, unless you're filming a great white! because to me, the underwater environment is so unique, so amazing, peaceful, tranquil for the most part, and just awe-inspiring and i feel that calm pretty type music fits that best.

If you're scoring a piece, you have to pick the music that best fits the scene, and the mood of the overall piece.

Without seeing footage, I really can't say.

Why drown out the "music" of the underwater world itself? I just use my regulator sound in my DVD's!

Yep.

Scooter videos seem to go best with Heavy Metal

Float around reef stuff usually goes well with mellow music.

One of the my favourite parts of diving is the sound of being underwater. Why would I want to lose one of the most important parts of diving by adding sound to a video? I'm with drbill.
