Hello to all .I will be moving to South/east Michigan in just a few weeks.and looking for places to dive in the area.also going to be in need of new dive buddys.I have my coldwater gear ready. Thanks Walter

Welcome to the board! The Great Lakes Wrecking Crew section is where you'll find the local divers :D There are several quarries in the area with the premier site being Gilboa Quarry in addition to all the wreck diving opportunities in the lakes. We'll probably be at Gilboa for a New Year's Day dive and you're more than welcome to come join us!

To be detailed the city ill be living in is Wandotte,Mi

You'll be just across the river from me. I live on Grosse Ile.

I haven't done any lake diving in the area yet, but when I'm home I'd be more than willing to carpool down to the Ohio quarries if you'd be interested.

Thats great I would be interested.Ill be in michigan on the 19th.so It will be after the holidays be for Ill get a chance to dive. Thanks Walt

I go to school up in the Soo, so I'd be willing to go diving during the first two weeks of January, the first week of March, and then anytime after the 1st of May. Just PM me if you want to set something up during those times. My usual buddy doesn't like diving in the really cold water, so I'm buddy-less until spring.

welder,

I'm not real sure why no one else is interested in the Monroe quarry other than it's just recently being developed for diving and there aren't a lot of amenities, but it's only about 30 miles from you. Maybe I'll see you down there in the spring 'cause I don't have a drysuit.
