You asked about monthly meetings. Ocean First Divers in Boulder has monthly socials that feature a guest speaker. It's free, and refreshments are provided, including beer and wine.

There are some people who do dive locally with some frequency, believe it or not. Check this site for information and ideas. We usually have at least one attempt to get a lot of people together at Aurora Reservoir in June. If we do that this year again, it will be a good chance to meet people.

Are there casinos in Denver at least? LOL

There are casinos with limited stakes in the mountains just west of Denver.

Hola Gdaaym8z (I love your board name),

I too will be moving to the front range soon -- Boulder, in my case. Where I live now, I have some of the best diving in the PNW right down the street. This is going to be rough. Ugh.

But never fear! I have lived in Colorado before and know that there *is* diving, albeit not very good. I have resolved to dive a few times every month just to keep my skills up. If nothing else, living in Colorado gives you a good excuse to explore the Caribbean. :)

Welcome! See you around town!

Am I the only one looking forward to Aurora opening up?:D

Hoping for a shorter trip than Rock Lake?
