My wife tried out her new Lazer BC in the pool the other day. She really likes it but it appears that her trim would benefit from moving the rear trim pockets up to the upper tank band. I moved them up but am not sure whether they were designed to be moved there since:
1. They have to be installed upside down in order to have the velcro "wings" grab the vertical webbing(unless I'm missing something). This means that the weights rest against the zipper rather than on the velcro closure. I wonder if this is a problem.

2. The wings can be pulled under the vertical webbing but it's a tight fit since the slot is narrower than the one you use when the pockets are on the lower strap.

So, Scott were these pockets designed to be positioned on the upper strap? Is there a problem with the zipper being on the bottom?

If you have the standard Zeagle trim pockets the webbing loop on the back of the trim pocket goes through the tank band. The velcro loops do not have to be attached to the bc if they are on the tank bands, at least on my ranger.

When set up this way the trim pockets are held in place between the bc and the wing by the tank when it is installed.

They were not designed to go up there, but i know that some people have put them there and I have never heard of any problems in doing so...

Thanks,

Scott

I had a need to move the trim weights up to the top tank band on my Zeagle scout. I removed the original trim pockets and purchased 2 small weight pockets. I put them onto the tank band, one on each side, and secured them with a heavy duty plastic clip. I am not familiar with the trim pockets on the lazer, but perhaps this approach could also work for you. I have used this setup for several years, and it really does the trick.
