Hey Sarita!
Welcome to NC (almost). Ditto from all the other entries about the sites. The vis in Fantasy lake drops in the late summer/fall, but it's always a good close dive to keep the skills up. I'd be happy to dive with you whenever you like.

Mark,
How do you join the PDRA? I've looked online but can't find a good source of info. I'd like to dive their quarries also. What is your favorite?

Matt check with one of the dive shops in the area. I am not a member, never been to them actually, but I believe it is a group membership thing and you can go through a dive shop that is a member.

Thanks Linda! :)

Go to www.ncpdra.org to find out about the PDRA and how to join. It's a great deal and they have some great quarries to dive/learn.

Thanks!
I just emailed the interest form. Hopefully I'll get a response and do some diving.:14:

I go through Greensboro SCUBA for my 'membership'. Give them a call and they can send you the forms, unless of course they are online. It's been awhile since I have been on the website.

I've dove at both Lake Norman and Blanch. I would say it is 50/50 as to which I like. Blanch is nice because it is only like 30 minutes from were I live. Norman is nice because it is large, only thing I don't like about Norman is there are lines everywere going from one thing to the next (it's like a spider web really)

If you ever want to join us, a bunch of us have started going up Wednesday nights for a midweek dive. We plan on being their this Wednesday and next if you would like to join us. I can email you directions if you like.

If you don't here anything back, pm me and I'll lead you in the right direction, (best club based on location, activity, or price), your choice.
