Mounting Knife on a Knighthawk

I have a 5ish" knife and am out of ideas of where to try to mount it on my Knighthawk. Tried on the velcro strap on the left shoulder, but being right handed, ran into problems trying to get it back in the sheath. Wanted to mount it on the outside of my left weight pocket holder, but it seems like it would really get in the way of the buckle releases. Now trying the left velcro strap near the inflator hose, but worried about too many things right there, not to mention a knife being near two important hoses. Anyone figured out the secret spot to mount a knife on this BC?

I strap mine to my left calf. Anywhere else and I'd be worried it'd get in the way. Unless you use it a lot (if so - maybe consider a safer area to dive?) this is a good place for it. My $.02.

Yeah, it is smaller then one to put on my leg though. :-\

knife placement-

I have the scubapro k3 knife a little shorter than yours but I zip tied mine to the inflator hose and have dove it for over a year and have no complaints

Another favorite place for me is zip tied to my gauge console. Normally one zip tie going between the 2 gauges, and the other on the hose... works out great depending on the configuration of your console. Quick note to point out though, if you have a 400 series stainless knife, it might affect your compass if that is on the console. Just move the knife around the compass and see if it makes it move. If it does, check to see if it throws it off when mounted on the back.
