Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone out there has experience using two aluminum 80's on a zeagle tech BC. I know zeagle says it can be done, and that it is not a problem BUT, I'm a little leary about hte process, because there is no hard area for them to rest on, it's only a couple of grommets holding them on. If anyone has done it, can they let me know how there experiences were. I know it's not as good as a bp/wings set up, but that's not really in the budget right now.

Thanks,
Chris

Hey Chris
I dive with double 80's with my Zeagle tech. Two of the guys I dive with use double Faber LP 125's and another uses double HP100's. I have also used HP100's doubled up. I actually prefer the doubles on my back. All you do is replace your two cam straps with longer ones made for doubles. Instead of threading it through the back of the BCD through two of the vertical pieces of nylon strap you instead thread it through all four pieces. Between the four of us we would have over 1000 dives using doubles with our Zeagles. We have never had a problem with this setup. If there is anything you don't understand about my description, I can take pictures when I get home tonight.

I have a buddy who swears by his zeagle ranger. I have dove mine with doubles but usually use a bp and wings. When i dive the zeagle I prefer to use the tank bolts with stabilizers (essentally large washers rectangular and made to fit between tanks, Dive rite makes a set) My buddy uses both the stabilizers and the tank bands but I feel that in a cave or wreck the bands and buckles can be an entanglement issue and i dont notice a significant difference in stability. I would try it both ways and see what you like.
