I've never seen another diver sling a pony bottle so I'll need some advice. I see people talk about staging and slinging, I'm not really sure which method would work best for my use. I'm going with a 19 CF bottle. I know I don't want to tank mount because I want easy access to the bottle and I don't want to deal with two extra hoses. If I sling/stage it, I can put on one of those small SPGs that screw right into the first stage without a hose, and I can also wrap the second stage's hose around the pony. Another thing is, I would like it to be easily detachable in case I was tangled or something and my only option was to ditch my equipment.

My BC is a Zeagle Express Tech Deluxe, so I don't have a whole lot of mounting spots.

This should help with how to rig the pony:

I prefer this method: DIR Stage Rigging in Detail

I use section of fuel hose for the "handle" and some sections from a blown out inner tube for the bands.

I agree with the button gauge, its function is to confirm your starting pressure
