If you were going to buy a computer which one would you buy and would it be wrist mounted and air intergraded as your primary thank you for your opinion on this matter

VR3, which is wrist mounted. SPG separate. Really depends on the diving you do or are going to do. All the mentioned computers are relatively expensive for recreational diving.

The one between my ears.

Next most reliable is a simple bottom timer.

I splurged, however, and use a SmartTec, but it's pretty expensive to just go and use it in gauge mode.

If you are going to tech you need to make sure you have a computer that will go into gauge mode, or allows multiple gas switches. I recommend just a primary computer for air and nitrox diving that switches into guage mode for decompression dives. You should always preplan your dives anyway, and it makes it easier to dive as a team if you use tables, also you can generate contingency plans. I also do not recommend air integrated for tech. Analog SPGs work great and are very reliable.

VR3 for me even at its most basic open circuit nitrox level it will cover all the diving I do and with the Pro planner software I can create back up tables to match the VR3's algorithm.

Now I have started down the Tech route it allows gas switching for more mixes than I will ever carry :) (10 different mixes)

And I can use it with my Inspiration rebreather as a 4th O2 cell monitor to give real time decompression info for the PPo2 thats in the loop.

If/when I go to Trimix, again all I have to do is make a simple phone call to purchase the last pin number and then the computer is unlocked to allow Trimix Dive planing/Deco and gas switching.
