You're missing the fact that alkaline's leak/fail way sooner than that. Plus even at 20% per annum for li-ion (which it is definitely not) for legit cells so what? They have twice the energy density right off the bat. 0.1 vs 0.25 wh/gmNo, that's not correct. Alkaline tech is basically designed for long shelf life, 2% per annum or so. Li-ion has self-discharge rate ~5-10x of Alkaline.
