Hey all!

Can anyone recommend a very very soft flexible fin?

Thanks to an ankle injury, I now only have a few degrees movement up/down in one ankle, and trying to kick a mostly rigid ankle isn’t working well with my current Tusa Solla fins because they’re pretty stiff.

I just got a pair of Scuba Pro Twin Jet split fins, but even these aren’t quite as flexible as I was hoping…

Can anyone recommend something REALLY flexible?

Maybe look at Apollo Bio Fins....

Thanks I’ll check those out! The other recommendation I’ve seen is Force Fins original but they didn’t look all that flexible visually, can anyone comment on those?

Bio fins are floppy, after that is the foot

Thanks for the posts, I tried the Bio fins, and surprisingly they were almost the same as the scubapro twin jet, just a slightly narrower toe. I tried a pair of the force fins and they were definitely interesting, soft on the up kick but pretty rigid on the down kick.

Going to stick with split fins. Thanks for the input everyone!

I have bad knees, so I sometimes use Atomic Split Fins. Love them since 2007. Just not that great for precision diving, e.g. in side a wreck/cave or when I frog kick/modified frog kick.

FWIW - With the force fins, you push through the flex on the down kick to get the power and they snap back with some that stored force, returning some more propulsion. Doesn't really require much ankle flex at all. But that may also be more force\tension than your injured ankle may be comfortable with.

There are (in the tradional style) "regular" force fins and then the "pro" version which are stiffer and give more out for more in. (Tan Deltas for the fortunate have more umph still...)

I like my Atomic (High Energy Compound) Smoke On The Water splits. Competant under water, but the best snorkeling\surface fins that I've tried.
