Hey, everybody...

This may not be directly related to diving, but I wanted to make sure it went into the Conch Forum since it's only a Southwest Florida thing at this time. John Kiseda, Director of Environmental Education with Lee County Parks & Rec, is a huge supporter of sustainable eco-tourism and is chairman of the Society for Ethical Ecotourism Southwest Florida www.seeswfla.org, an organization that recognizes various tourism-related businesses for their "best practice" and "nature-friendly" operation.

I'm not plugging for donations or anything like that. I just wanted you to be aware of some of the businesses in this area who are helping to make a difference by operating in a more sustainable and responsible manner. If every dollar is a vote, let's show our support for those organizations who support the things we love and enjoy on a regular basis: nature, the oceans, the environment.

Thanks for reading!

Love, Kris

Hey.. so if we list our Lawn & Landscaping biz there, we'd be the only ones. Considering the tools I've chosen for work (highest rated emission standards) and the soon to be biodiesel driven tractor, we'll be way inside guidelines for eco friendly! :)
