Nautilus is a long-established eco-tourism operator of 38 years specializing in diving and adventures with great white sharks, giant manta rays, dolphins, humpback and grey whales, and much more around Baja California, Mexico. Nautilus is also the inventor and manufacturer of Nautilus Lifeline Marine Rescue GPS, that has already saved the life of many divers in the world.

The Dive Center manager Nautilus is looking for is a busy full-time shore-based position working out of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Responsible to the company President for the safe and efficient management of diving operations, ensuring that guest expectations are exceeded with excellence in service and that staff are happy in their jobs.

We are looking for someone who has a proven track record as a manager, can make fast and thoughtful decisions, and will not be afraid to make those tough decisions. We need someone who is flexible, comfortable working in a flat management structure, and shows excellent use of common sense. The chosen individual should be able to “read” the staff and bring out the best of their abilities.

The successful candidate will be in charge of the general management of all operations and activities offered by the dive center, reporting accountancy, and profit calculation. Must be an excellent communicator, have great listening skills, and know-how to get things done.

DUTIES / RESPONSABILITIES

- Manage, coordinate, and support all staff who are involved in diving operations.

- Manage on-site supplies and logistics of all diving related equipment and consumables.

- Oversee the use, maintenance, and inventory of all project diving equipment and compressor.

- Conduct all dive training of volunteers and staff (OW through to Divemaster), ensuring strict adherence to all required standards.

- Compile diving reports and equipment inventory to the head office on a regular basis.

- Report all achievements and potential issues to the head office.

- Ensure all required paperwork/documents are completed and filled in accordingly.

- Organize Dive center daily activities, staff schedules, and guest relations.

- Supervise equipment is sufficient and in optimal condition.

- Supervise all license and permissions are valid.

- Contact guests.

- Supervise promotional activities at hotels.

REQUIREMENTS

- 1+ years of experience as a shop manager.

- 3+ years of experience as a Divemaster.

- Fluent English and Spanish.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Leadership skills.
